We were happy to host Blacks RFC on Sat 8 Dec for matches at under 11 and under 14 and hope that they'll be able to come and visit again in the not too distant future.

Our young squads including a lot of under 9 and 10 players at under 11 and under 12 at under 14 did very well against considerably bigger opposition - especially at under 11. Their efforts were rewarded with a strong win in the first game and in the second game, although we lost 1-2, the boys did not give up and worked right till the end scoring a deserved try just before the final whistle after many phases of play.

After the first game loss, Blacks RFC certainly woke up and the remaining two games were closely contested and very physical - the results in the end only differing on the number of successful conversions. We need to learn a few things from the games and will work on them in training in the coming weeks before our next fixtures.
